Welcome to The Mirror Stage!

Hi everyone!

Since this is the first post for our new blog, let me give a brief introduction of myself and also a little about why hiroki and me decided to create this blog.

Both hiroki and me are huge fans of Japanese music (mainly visual kei), so we decided to make this blog to share with everyone visual-kei / j-rock / j-pop related stuff. (Don't expect posts about mainstream heavily-marketed j-pop groups such as Arashi or AKB48 here though. We hate them.) Through this blog, we hope to share with everyone the music that we love (mainly visual-kei) and hopefully more people will come to appreciate visual-kei music.

A little about myself - I am a 23 year old university student, currently living in Singapore. Currently, my favourite band is Plastic Tree, followed closely by Nightmare. I like Plastic Tree because of Ryutaro's very unique melodic child-like voice and their wide range of musical styles which they often experiment on. As for Nightmare, I like them because their songs are always so powerful and emotional, they always leave a lasting impression in my mind.

I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as us blogging it!
